A Friend to All People

When He walked upon this earth
He was a friend to all people,
unbelievers, drunkards, prostitutes,
and all the other breakers of the law
whom God had chosen to welcome,
but the religious worshippers
had labeled unfit for His Temple.
They crucified Christ 
cause He was a protector
of the most vulnerable vessels
God waited to fill with His love
to replace hopelessness
the hate and ignorance had sown.
And He allowed to spill 
His holy spring of life
for His “unholy” friends could survive
through restoring their bond
with the Heavenly Father.
He has been an attorney for many, 
saving us all 
from the bondage of hell 
by making us whole.
